1. Who we are
“Timely”, “we”, or “us” refers to the operators of the Timely service. This policy explains, in general terms, what information the service handles. It forms part of, and is subject to, our Terms of Service — including the disclaimers of warranty and liability set out there.
2. What we process
- Account data: the owner email and password you register with.
- Store data: store name, store handle, timezone, and the security values used for QR clock-in.
- Staff data: the staff logins and names you choose to add.
- Shift data: the start and end times recorded for each shift.
- Technical data: basic information your browser sends (such as a session cookie) needed to keep you logged in and to operate the service.
Passwords are stored only as cryptographic hashes, not in plain text.
3. Why we process it
We use this information solely to provide the service: to authenticate you, to record and display shifts, to compute time totals, and to keep the service running. We do not sell your personal information, and we do not use it for advertising.
4. Staff data & your responsibility
When you add staff and record their shifts, you decide what is collected and why, and you are the party responsible for that data toward your staff. You are responsible for giving your staff any notice, and obtaining any consent, that the law requires before tracking their time, and for honoring their rights regarding that data. We act only as a processor of the information you choose to enter.
5. Sharing
We do not sell your data. We may rely on third-party infrastructure (such as hosting and database providers) to operate the service, and we may disclose information if we believe in good faith that it is required by law or necessary to protect the service. We cannot control, and are not responsible for, the practices of any third party.
6. Cookies
We use a single essential session cookie to keep you signed in while you use the service. It is not used for advertising or cross-site tracking. Blocking it will prevent you from logging in.
7. Retention
We keep data for as long as needed to provide the service, but we make no promise to retain, back up, or be able to recover any data, and we may delete data at any time. Please keep your own independent records of anything important.
8. Security — no guarantee
We take reasonable, ordinary measures to protect data (such as hashing passwords), but no method of transmission or storage is fully secure, and we cannot and do not guarantee the security of any information. As stated in our Terms, we accept no liability for any information leak, breach, unauthorized access, loss, or corruption of data, however it occurs. You use the service at your own risk.
9. Your choices
You can update your account information while logged in, and you can stop using the service at any time. Requests about data can be sent to the address below, but we are under no obligation, under these terms, to respond, locate, export, or delete data on request.
10. Changes
We may update this policy at any time, without notice. Continued use of the service after a change means you accept the updated policy.
